Q-The reflex angle between the hands of a clock at 10:25 is ?(in degree)
(Note: At 10:25, hour hand is not at sharp 10)

The angle between hands is 180+?

Now the problem is to find ?=x

We know that hour hand covers 30 degree in one hour and minute hand covers 360 degree in one hour.

     360 degree of minute hand = 30 degree of hour hand

(in 25 minute, minute hand covers 150 degree)

So 150 degree of minute hand = (30*150)/360 degree of hour hand

Hence hour hand cover 12.5 degree.

So

x=30-12.5=17.5 degree

Therefore, total angle between hands is 180+17.5=197.5 degree
